RESOUND VERSO 9

Premium wireless hearing aids from Resound

Launched: 2012

Verso

Replacement for: Resound Alera 9

The Resound Verso is currently the highest level of technology available from this manufacturer. The Verso is now available in three technology levels with the Verso 9 being the most advanced in the range. You can look at the full range of ReSound hearing aids here.

These hearing aids are available in a number of different styles to suit any preference. From BTE (Behind the Ear), RIE (Receiver in Ear) and RM (Remote Microphone) to a number of custom models. These custom models include ITE (In the Ear), ITC (In the Canal), CIC (Completely in Canal) and even a tiny IIC (Invisible in Canal).

The Verso 9 contains Resound’s new technology which now gives the wearer Binaural Fusion. This feature allows your hearing aids to work together to improve your hearing. They do this by communicating wirelessly and sharing information with each other. This means you now receive an even more advanced sound quality and even better noise and feedback management.

Along with this, the Verso 9 has a number of other features that are all designed to keep the sound you want to hear as clear and natural as possible while keeping out the noise.

17 Channels

As sound processing channels each process a range of frequencies, the greater the number of channels, the more finely the hearing aids can be tuned.

4 Programs

Each of these programs can be configured to manage your hearing loss in a different environment or situation

Surround Sound Processor

This improves the overall quality of sound that you hear and also has an extra feature that can manage wind noise

DFS

This stands for Digital Feedback Suppression and is designed to eliminate any whistling noises that may be produced by the hearing aids

Advanced Noise Tracker II

This feature is designed to keep out any unwanted background noise that may reduce the quality of the speech that you hear. On the Verso 9 this feature can be programmed for 4 different levels

Onboard Analyzer II

This will analyse the activity of your hearing aids and create a log that your audiologist can then feed into a computer. This allows them to check the hearing aid’s performance and make sure they are working optimally for you

Natural directionality

This feature is only available on the Verso 9. It focuses one microphone on speech and one on sounds from other directions. This means you can hear everything that is going on around you rather than just pulling sounds from the front. It gives an overall more natural quality to the sound.

Softswitching

Softswitching will detect changes in your environment and then softly and smoothly adapt the microphones to the level required. This ensures all sounds, including speech, remain clear and comfortable at all times.

Another innovative new addition is Resound’s iSolate Nanotech. This new process uses nanotechnology to give the hearing aids a highly resistant coating. This protects them from substances like sweat, dust or wax which could potentially otherwise reduce the life of the hearing aids.

The Resound Verso 9 has many styles that are compatible with their Unite range of wireless accessories. Resound accessories have an added bonus in that they do not require an additional device to be worn to relay the signal. This means no extra inconvenience or cost.

Unite TV

This accessory sends the sounds from your TV directly into the hearing aids so you can listen at a level comfortable for you.

Unite Mini Microphone

This can be placed on a table or attached to another person’s clothes and will stream the voice into your hearing aids. This allows you to have a normal conversation however noisy the surrounding environment

Unite Phone Clip

This device lets you hear the conversation from your mobile phone clearly and in both ears at the same time.

Unite Remote Control

This is a handy device that allows you to adjust basic functions on the hearing aids. It is especially useful if you find the buttons on the hearing aids a bit small and fiddly.
