PHONAK NAIDA Q90

Launched: 2013

Naida

Replacement for: Phonak Naida S9

The Naida Q90 is the new range of super power hearing aids available from Phonak. They are available in three different styles which include 2 BTE (Behind the Ear) models and an RIC (Receiver in Canal) model. These hearing aids are designed for people with a more severe hearing loss. You can take a look at the full range of Phonak hearing aids here

The Naida Q is available at four different levels of technology with the Q90 being the top level of the range. It has the most sound processing channels and all of the new features available from Phonak’s new technology.

All the Naida Q hearing aids have an attractive design and offer a range of colour options.

The Naida Q has retained many of the key features from the previous Naida S range but with one significant difference. The ‘Q’ range has the new Quest sound processing platform at the heart of its technology. This has replaced the previous Spice (S) platform and now offers faster processing, superior sound quality and a range of new features.

Like the other hearing aids in Phonak’s new Quest range, the Naida Q90 features Binaural VoiceStream. With this technology, the hearing aids can communicate wirelessly with each other and share information to ensure the best signal possible. This binaural technology has led to the introduction of some innovative new features

Acclimatisation Manager

This feature is able to detect the changes in your environment and determine the level of amplification needed. The hearing aids will then adjust automatically to give you the best sound in that situation. This feature also allows for manual adjustments if required..

Auto SteroZoom

This will identify the speech patterns in a crowd and then focus on these sounds. At the same time, it will block out the background noise from other directions to ensure you hear the voice you are listening to.

Speech in Wind

Using the new binaural technology, this feature can help you hear clearly even in a windy environment. The hearing aids will assess which side is getting the clearer signal and transmit that to the other side to ensure all round clarity.

As mentioned before the Naida Q90 has kept many of the excellent features from the previous range but through their new Quest platform, have made significant improvements.

20 Channels

This is the highest number of channels available on Phonak Naida hearing aids which allows a precise tuning of the hearing aids so they work perfectly for your individual hearing loss.

Soundrecover

Soundrecover moves the high frequencies that are out of your hearing range down to a level you can hear, increasing your overall audibility range

Ultrazoom/Stereozoom/Autozoom

These are all microphone features that work with the binaural technology to improve the clarity and audibility of speech while reducing background noise

Soundrelax

This will automatically reduce the gain on the hearing aids when a sudden loud noise is detected to soften the noise and retain hearing comfort

Soundflow

This is another feature that detects the changes in the environment around you. It then smoothly adapts the hearing aids to manage your hearing in that particular situation

Whistleblock, Noiseblock, Echoblock and Windblock

These features all block out unwanted noise, distortion and feedback to keep your hearing comfortable and clear in all environments.

As well as offering all these features and an extra boost of power, the Naida Q90 can also be connected to a range of wireless accessories. This allows wireless connection to the different audio devices you use on a regular basis.

Phonak Compilot

This is a streamer which will transmit the sound from other accessories into your hearing aids. It can be worn around the neck for hands free convenience

Phonak TV Link S

This accessory can be paired with your hearing aids to stream the sound directly from your television. It also works as a handy charger for the ComPilot streamer

Phonak MyPilot

This is a small, attractive remote control with display screen. It allows one touch adjustment of the basic functions of the hearing aids.
