The Siemens Micon is their new range of hearing aids that work on the new Micon platform technology. This new platform promises better sound quality coupled with greater audibility which together create Siemen’s ‘Soundability’.

Siemens give a different name to each hearing aid to make them more easily identifiable when choosing a style.

These hearing aids come in three levels of technology, 7mi, 5mi and 3mi. At the 3mi level you have a more limited choice as there are only three styles available. There are currently no custom ITE (In the Ear) models available at this technology level.

Pure – RIC (Receiver in Canal)

Life – Mini BTE (Behind the Ear)

Aquaris – Highly waterproof BTE (Behind the Ear)

Micon offers BestSound technology along with e2e wireless which lets your hearing aids communicate with each other wirelessly to give you the best sound possible. This Micon platform works on three different elements which improve your hearing. These are MiSound, MiGuide and MiFocus and each one contains features to manage the different aspects of your hearing loss.

This suppresses background noise to make the speech you want to hear much clearer.

This ensures listening comfort by softening any unexpected loud noises

This feature reduces distortion by blocking out the noise in windy situations

MiFocus

Despite being the most basic in the Micon range, the 3mi still offers more sound processing channels than many of the most advanced hearing aids on the market

MiGuide

Data Logging

By recording the activity of your hearing aids, this feature provides your audiologist with an accurate log of their performance

Although the Micon 3mi is a more basic option, it still offers compatibility with Siemens range of wireless accessories

                                                    

Tek

The Tek connects you to things like your mobile phone, music player or television. The sound is streamed directly into the hearing aids giving you a comfortable and clear solution to your hearing loss.

Mini Tek

This accessory works in exactly the same way as the Tek but is also a handy remote control for your hearing aids.

ProPocket

This is also a small remote control that allows you to change basic elements such as volume or programs.

e-Pen

The e-Pen is an extremely discreet remote control for your hearing aids. Disguised as a normal fountain pen it allows you to adjust the settings with a few simple clicks.
