Oticon
Oticon is a Danish company, founded in 1909 by Hans Demant.
Mr Demant's initial desire was to simply help his hard of hearing wife to lead a better life.
Today Oticon are one of the largest suppliers of Hearing Aids in the
World. Oticon have a UK base in Hamilton in Scotland. All in-the-ear
models are made here using the latest moulding technology.

Phonak are a Swiss company with UK HQ in Warrington.
Phonak are world leads of FM solutions and paediatric fittings alongside
their normal duties of adult prescriptive digital hearing aids. Phonak
HQ is in Warrington where all the in ear products are moulded.

ReSound were founded in 1876 in Denmark and the ReSound group
now ranks among the top 5 hearing
aid manufacturers in the world with distributors in seventy countries and currently employing
4500 people worldwide. The Resound HQ is in Banbury, Oxfordshire, where

Sonic Innovations no longer serve the UK hearing aid market with new

Starkey are an American company founded in 1967 by William Austin. Today
Starkey has a worldwide workforce of over 4000 and is the largest supplier
of digital hearing aids in the USA. Starkey HQ is in Stockport in Manchester
where all their custom products are made and repairs carried out.

Unitron HQ is in Warrington alongside Phonak's production team as they are
both owned by the Sonova Holding Group.

Bernafon are a leading
supplier of hearing aids from Switzerland, as per Widex. They were
founded in 1946 and are now owned by the Demant Holding Group who
also own Oticon and as such they share the same HQ in Hamilton in
Scotland, where they make all their in ear hearing aids and
distribute all BTE hearing aids. Bernafon are the smaller
represented of the two in the UK but they are level in terms of
technology offered.
